General
Hard-working player who should see an increased role as a sophomore, behind starting point guard Kyle Shields Filled in extremely well last season after the Buffs we hit hard by injuries.

2006-07 (Freshman)
Doherty aw action in 21 contests, drawing three starts as a true freshman. He averaged 1.8 points and 1.0 rebounds per game while contributing 31 assists and 12 steals on the season. His best individual performance of the season came during a win over Ouachuta Baptist on Nov. 25 as he tallied a season-high eight points and six assists.

Des Moines High School
A three time all-State North/South MVP, Dohertywas a member of the 30-2 Demons squad that won the school's first Class A State Championship in 2006. He was also a standout on the track and field team where he lettered four times. Doherty was a member of the National Honor Society and Outstanding Students of America.

Personal
Doherty is the son of Karen and Jim Doherty. He is majoring in general business.
