First-year player... will sit out the first semester to preserve his remaining three semesters of eligibility... talented point guard who is expected to make an impact around the perimeter for the Buffs.

AT OHLONE COLLEGE

Earned first-team All-League honors, as well as being named the Offensive Player of the Year in 2003 and the Defensive Player of the Year in 2004, while leading Ohlone to consecutive league championships and a 49-13 record in Holmes' two years there... averaged 14 points, seven assists, four rebounds and three steals per game, leading the league in steals.

IN HIGH SCHOOL

Played for Haltom High School in Haltom City, Texas, where he was Texas Class 6-5A District MVP while leading the Buffaloes to a district title.
