CANYON, Texas - After a standout playing career at West Texas A&M, Meredith Jameson can add another honor to her already impressive trophy case, this time for her coaching abilities, as Sunday she was selected as Co-Lone Star Conference Women's Golf Coach of the Year.

In addition to Jameson, Lady Buff golf was well represented on the 2008 LSC Women's Golf All-Conference team. Sophomore Mollie Peterson, who captured her first collegiate victory during October's Grizzly Invitation and posted a runner-up finish at the Lady Buff Stampede, was named first team All-LSC.

Fellow sophomore Whitney Osborne, one of WT's most consistent players throughout the season, earned second team honors, while newcomers Stephanie Boldger and Lacy Torbert nabbed honorable mention accolades.

In addition to their work on the course, Peterson and sophomore Christal Kendrick were recognized for their outstanding efforts in the classroom as both players were selected to the Academic All-LSC team. WT tied Cameron with a conference-high two representatives on the five-member squad.
