CANYON, Texas - After lifting the program to a school record 25 wins and helping the team emerge as one of the up and coming contenders in the Lone Star Conference, four members of the West Texas A&M softball team were selected as All-LSC South honorees. Freshman Kaitlyn Witte was selected as LSC South Freshman of the Year, while junior Jessica Ruzicki and sophomore Amber Farr were named to the first team and freshman Audrey Wallace represented WTAMU on the second team. Farr developed into one of the most productive hitters in the LSC as a sophomore, leading the Lady Buffs in batting average with a .342 clip at the plate and tying for the lead in entire conference with seven triples. Additionally, Farr led the Lady Buffs with 14 multiple hit games while scoring 32 runs and driving in 26 while adding 26 stolen bases. The Randall High School graduate appeared a third base, right field, left field and designated player for WT. In addition garnering LSC South Freshman of the Year honors, Witte was an honorable mention selection to the team after exploding on the league's softball scene following a standout prep career at Midland Lee High School. Witte, batted .335 on the season and set new school records in home runs with 11 and RBI with 40, while leading the Lady Buffs in slugging percentage at .582 and on base percentage at .450.
