WT Women's Cross Country Recognized for Standout Academics

CANYON, Texas - The West Texas A&M women's cross country has been selected as one of the top academic team in the country this spring as it was selected as an NCAA Division II All-Academic team by the Cross Country Coaches Association (CCCA). In addition to the team honor, sophomore Kristie Hartsfield was recognized individually as a member of the CCCA's All-Academic Women's Cross Country Team. The Perryton, Texas, native was the Lady Buffs' top runner as a sophomore last fall and will anchor a team that returns all but two from this year's squad during the 2008 season. This is the second straight year a WT runner under the guidance of head coach Kimberly Dudley has garnered the honor as a year ago Jisel Bailon. |
